These are our core services for delivering improved quality, capacity, or cost performance at plant level. A complete program typically involves the following stages:

1. Exploratory meeting

In our initial meetings with management we discuss the clients needs and establish strategic priorities regarding capacity, cost, quality, environment and other influencing factors to help define the best approach for achieving the desired improvement.

2. Opportunity study

To quantify the improvement potential and associated benefits, and also confirm there is sufficient value in progressing to the next stage, we then conduct an on-site opportunity study. We do this by examining your equipment, reviewing process data, records and reports, and talking with your staff. The resulting opportunities and proposed action plans are then presented to management for consideration, but if there aren't enough opportunities to justify proceeding further, we'll tell you. 3. Optimisation training

To help people understand their role in the improvement initiative, we conduct customised process training for management and plant personnel. This is a vital step in aligning organisational perspectives, getting buy-in from key personnel and helping those involved understand why different ways of working may be needed. (More...)

4. Project implementation

With basic training finalised and consensus reached with management on the proposed action plans, we then progress to the project implementation phase, where we provide support in co-ordinating, trialling, conducting and evaluating the optimisation project activities.

Once the optimisation work has achieved the desired objectives, we then help to fix the new ways of working in place. This is a key step in reducing operational variability and making sure the improvements are not lost. (More...)

5. Technical support

As a key part of this service, we also provide technical support to our clients to help them deal with any unforeseen problems and make sure the resulting benefits are sustained over the longer term. (More...)
